Subject: A note of thanks!
This note is merely to thank you for restoring some of my faith in the Internet market place. Prior to finding your site, I had attempted to buy a camera through at least a dozen dot com stores in New York City. In every case I found that they all employed the following common format.
1. Advertise at an attractive low price (unbelievably low as it turned out in all cases). 2. Ask that the buyer to call to confirm the purchase. 3. Offer and try to sell a host of add-ons; add-ons that were often included in the price of the original produce (e.g., battery charger, connection cables, software, flash card). 4. If they were unable to scam up the price sufficiently, they would simply ignore the buyer and delete the original order confirmation number from their records.
It took me a while to begin to get the picture of what they were doing. They simply refused to answer the phone in person (asked the caller to leave a call-back number), failed to call back, never answered e-mails with regard to order status, ship date, etc. The best I ever got from any of them was an e-mail stating that my "backorder" was delayed and providing an e-mail address to either cancel or change the order. I am convinced that all the New York photographic Internet dot coms are a "rats nest" of duplicity, and am delighted to find a reliable vendor anywhere on the net.

note from Quality Digital Camera: It is not our intention or belief that we can 'lift ourselves higher' by the putdown of any other merchant. We are certainly not perfect. However, we feel that we do try hard. We wish to be honest, straightforward and fair. Whatever companies this customer is complaining about may have changed their practices. We don't know.

| "I have done business over the 'net' with many, many, merchants...but none any better than this particular one. The product was 'as advertised'; the personal attention/service was exceptional; the delivery was worked out to my satisfaction and the product arrived almost 'overnight.' What more could I ask for? My transaction far exceeded the value of my time and money which might otherwise have been used by going down to the 'local' store. You can do business with this merchant having full confidence that you will either get or exceed your money's worth. They were a total pleasure to do business with, and I will definitely return as necessary." |
